JAKARTA – PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) will build mini storage for liquid natural gas with capacity 0.3 metric tons per annum or around 50 million cubic feet per day to supply gas requirement of gas power plant (PLTG) Benoa, Bali. President Director Pertagas Hendra Jaya said the construction of the liquid natural gas storage need an investment around US$ 50 million up to US$ 60 million.

As planned, LNG from the mini storage will be allocated for PT Indonesia Power. “Gas supply for Indonesia Power is 3.36 MTPA with 16 years contract duration,” he said on Tuesday (23/9). LNG from the mini storage located on land will be distributed to PLTGU Benoa through 3 kilometers gas pipeline. He targeted the mini LNG storage can operate in late 2015 or early 2016. In future, he explained the LNG not only to support the power sector but also hotel, resort and others industries. (Business/66)
