Jakarta – Through PT Pertagas Niaga (PTGN), PT Perusahaan Gas Negara
Tbk (PGN) made novation and amendment of Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) with
PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM). The signed of GSA held virtually by CEO PT
Pertagas Niaga, Linda Sunarti and CEO PIM (31/08/20).
This signed ceremony attended by Minister of The Ministry of Energy and
Mineral Resources (KESDM) Arifin Tasrif, Plt. Dirjen Migas KESDM Ego
Syahrial, Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto, CEO PT Pertamina (Persero)
Nicke Widyawati, CEO PGN Suko Hartono and CEO PT Pupuk Indonesia
(Persero) Bakir Pasaman.
Commercial Director PGN Faris Aziz said, based on this GSA, gas supply
for PIM will supplied by Medco with 54 BBTUD volume. The contract period
is 13 years and will start in June 2020 until Mei 2033. The gas
delivery to PIM will organized with an integrated operation mechanism of
PGN Group to ensure the stability of supply and demand in North
Sumatera that involves various supply gas such as PHE, LNG and other
demands other than PIM such as industry and PLN.
CEO PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati explains, PT Pertamina Group
will continuously be a part of integrated solution for nation and
fulfill stakeholder expectation to give a reliable, affordable,
accesable and sustainable services. As we all knew, PIM had struggle
with their operational due to the deficit of gas supply that interrupt
and even stop the production process. As one of Aceh’s economic back
bone, the signed ceremony today become a stimulus for PIM and also
Aceh’s citizens.
As one of oil and gas producer area, Aceh’s citizens will gain the
benefit of their natural resources contribution for their economic
development.
Faris hope, gas allocation that provide by PGN Group will guarantee the
sustainability of gas supply for PIM in order to optimize the
production process. In this year 2020, PIM will achieve the target of
fertilizer distribution, consisting of 300 thousand tons urea fertilizer
and 180 thousand tons ammonia fertilizer to fulfill fertilizer’s demand
in 6 distribution areas such as Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Riau, Kepulauan
Riau and Jambi.
